Quality that Lasts
Until we are able to properly replicate the handmade quality of days gone by the only truly wonderful gun accessories are vintage. We love things of beauty and things that are beautiful to us always last.
Can Leather Get Wet?
Sure, leather can get wet but it’s not a great idea. The main problem when leather gets wet actually arises as the leather dries. When leather gets wet, the oils in the leather bind to the water molecules. As the water dries and evaporates, it draws out the oils with it. The leather’s loss of natural oils causes it to lose its supple quality and turn brittle.
Caring for Vintage Leather
Caring for vintage leather is very simple if you just think of leather as skin. Just as you need to clean and moisturize your own skin, leather needs to be maintained in the same way to stay supple, pliable, and resilient. If you keep your own skincare in mind while caring for your vintage leather, it is sure to outlast you.
