Vintage Strong Leather Brown Leather Belt w/ Naval Intelligence Service Buckle

Vintage 1966 Strong Leather Co. cordovan brown leather gun belt. Belt was purchased from Strong Leather Company in 1966 by an Agent of the O.N.I. when their name was changed to N.I.S. Though holsters, cartridge carriers and cuff holders were provided by the government. This time this item was a private purchase item and not offered to the public. Oval leather buckle is stamped Department Of The Navy over  Naval Intelligence Service. Center of buckle has vintage United States (US) Naval Intelligence Special Agent badge. Belt is 1 3/8" wide and buckle can be removed. Belt measures 35 1/4" to smallest setting and 39 1/4" to largest setting. This is measuring from the buckles metal tine to the first and last settings with 3 others in-between. Very rare item you will not see again..

If this is something you intend to wear please measure your trouser belt from leather end prior to buckle to setting you use. Please don’t assume your current belt hasn’t stretched because it likely has.
