Vintage Safariland #2 Hi Ride Holster with early Safariland Gazelle logo. Holster is brown leather with Safariland's Elk Suede lining. Retention snap is adjustable and belt slot is for a belt up to 1 3/4". This is in extremely close to new condition. Holster is for a Smith & Wesson 9mm such as a Model 39 0r 59 with round trigger. This construction is head and shoulders above anything made today..

Wrap-around rear constriction supported with a full 1/2” leather welt double stitched with #277 nylon lock stitching completely eliminates rear welt from tearing out due to leaning on handgun or forcible tugs by aggressors.
Not only does Safariland’s sight track provide exceptional protection for gun sights it also locks handgun in place, thwarting attempts by perpetrators from forcibly removing gun from the side in most cases.
You can wear the Model 2 for duty or off duty purposes.Model 2 rides high and tight to the body. You’ll gain added control of your handgun from the side in most cases.
