Vintage Lou Alessi DOJ/S. The Heinie DOJ was designed by Richard Heinie pistol smith and was offered by Lou Alessi. This Lou Alessi DOJ/S was made for sale by Richard Heinie and is stamped with Richard Heinie Speciality Products Quincy IL. Holster is for the Colt 45 1911 5” Government Model. Slots will fit a belt up to 1 1/2”. Leather, stitching and hardware in excellent condition..
DOJ/S Originally designed for the DOJ of California. This holster was designed for wear on the hip. The DOJ/S has a rear-stabilizing slot that pulls the pistol butt close to the body and one belt snap to the rear of the holster. The holster's hand molded sight channel protects the front sight. The DOJ/S holster had a 0° cant. This makes for a very fast draw. This holster can be worn as a cross draw.
