Vintage HOYT Forward Draw Swivel Holster Model #899. Holster is black basket stamped leather with open front break, swivel and inside thumb break. Holster is for a 6" Smith & Wesson Model 68 revolver. This will also fit similar K frame revolvers. This holster was a duty worn holster with the Los Angeles Sheriff Department and has the optional buyer request to have name, department and badge number stamped on the back Rear has MARTIN S. BRILL L.A.S.D. #177459

This is from when HOYT was located in Coupeville Washington. This WAS MADE IN 1982. Rear of these holsters were not dyed. That was mostly due to the Khaki trousers worn by the C.H.P. and other departments. Excellent period correct holster for that early revolver in your collection..
