This holster was designed in the '90s as a collaboration with the Michigan State Police range officers, for issue to their plainclothes personnel. MSP has for many years enjoyed a reputation as a progressive, trendsetting, law enforcement agency. After more than a year-and-a-half of extensive testing and evaluation, MSP chose this holster as being the FINEST paddle holster available anywhere, at any price. The paddle is reinforced with plastic, which acts as a spring and helps keep the grip snugged in tight to the side, a feature lacking in many paddle holsters. The weapon is carried at a high ride, FBI forward tilt. A bevel-edged welt locks the paddle into the waistband of the pants. A removable, snap closure belt loop serves as a backup to ensure the holster will not come out of the pants along with the gun during the draw. This is the holster for a person who must remove his or her weapon frequently during the day. It is also one of our answers to strong side hip carry with beltless slacks, or for someone who simply prefers not to wear a belt. Also works well for women. A more comfortable, secure paddle holster does not exist. May be custom ordered with a vertical rake.
