Beautiful vintage Bianchi M-66 Ambidextrous Military Holster. Holster is for the Colt 1911 Government Model but will also fit the Browning Hi Power or Smith & Wesson Model 39. The loop for left carry has two small pin holes. This was likely some sort of military pin from the previous owner best seen in last photo. Leather, stitching and hardware all in excellent condition..

The M66 is Bianchi’s original military holster, designed nearly two decades ago for specialized military applications. The symmetrical design allows its use as a left or right handed holster. The flap unsnaps , swivels out of the way, or removes completely. The holster snaps onto wide belts or slides onto narrow belts and is equally suited to cross draw use. After six years of development work Bianchi introduces its latest contribution to the U.S. Military- the M-66 Holster. Designed for the .45 Government automatic, it is also suitable for the Browning Hi Power and S&W 39 9mm. Among many other features, the new M-66 incorporates an unusual symmetrical design which permits ambidextrous use as well as cross draw from either side. A flip-top action provides fast draw without sacrificing protection of the weapon. A multi-use holster, the M-66 is well adapted to combat or garrison duty. It fits most gun belts including the G.I. web pistol belt. The current issue M-1911 pistol holster has remained essentially unchanged for 60 years. In contrast, the comfort of the M-66 holster and its secure, high position on the hip offer much toward the performance required by today's modern military needs..
