Vintage Original Pattern 70 SADF Kidney Webbing South African Military Field

$224.00
Based on the venerable British Pattern 58 webbing, the South African Pattern 70 webbing was used during several regional conflicts in the horn of Africa, including the Rhodesian Bush War and the South African Border War. It is easy to see why this is the case, as Pat 70 was a modular, breathable system ideally suited to the climate and landscape of Southern Africa.

Featuring rock-hard canvas construction and magazine pouches attached to every possible surface, Pattern 70 was designed for "bad days." The system is optimized for durability and reliability from the canvas material to the redundant, heavy stitching and chunky, metal D-rings.

The kidney pouches, meant to carry spare ammunition belts for the squad's machine gunner, are non-removable on the army version of the webbing we have in stock. Aside from these permanently attached pouches, the Pattern 70 system is highly modular. Holsters, canteen pouches, additional ammunition, and even a small backpack can all be attached to the main system in seconds.
